What is a Proofread?

You can only read your own manuscript so many times before you start missing small mistakes. A mistype here, a grammatical error there. We can help smooth out all the wrinkles in your manuscript and prepare it for submissions.

When your manuscript has reached its final stages, it’s time for a proofreader to come in and correct those pesky typographical errors. We don’t search for major changes at this point; rather, we’re looking to root out minor errors to ensure that your manuscript is read for publication. We recommend this as the last stage of the editorial process, following a developmental edit and copy edit.

For a single type of edit our prices are as follows based on word count:

• Up to 75k - $699 USD

• 75k to 100k - $899 USD

• 100k to 125k - $1,099 USD

• Over 125k - Bespoke pricing
